Day 1 - Rome, Italy
On Friday, Sept 12, we left Raleigh for Rome, Italy. Due to flight delays, we arrived in Rome on Saturday evening (only 11 hours late) and joined our son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Ceil, and her mother, Vi, at a hotel in Rome for a night of rest and adjusting to the 6-hour jet lag. The next morning, Sept 14, we went to the city of Civitavecchia where we boarded Holland-America's beautiful cruise ship, the M.S. Noordam,
